About Homeopathy
More about Homeopathy | Origin of Homeopathy. Hippocrates (460 - 370 B. C.) is believed to be the first Homeopath. However, the current practice of Homeopathy was shaped by Samuel Hahnemann, a brilliant doctor in 1796. Since then Homeopathy has spread all over the globe.
Homeopathy can help treat any physical, mental, emotional or behavioural issue - from localised physical issues like eczema, wounds, ulcers, growths to systemic issues like any hormonal imbalances, auto-immune diseases, cholesterol, allergies, developmental issues to mental / emotional / behavioural issues like learning difficulties, phobias, bereavement, anxiety, lack of confidence, tantrums and so on. What happens in a Homeopathic consultation? Homeopathy believes that an individual's present health is the result of genetics, past life events, diet and lifestyle. Hence the first consultation aims to gather information from birth (even pregnancy) to date, along with the details of the current issues. Based on this information, remedies are prescribed to stimulate body's own healing process. So please allow one and a half to two hours for the initial consultation and about half an hour for follow-up appointment.
How safe are Homeopathic remedies? Homeopathic remedies are prepared by diluting and 'shaking' the original substance, tens, hundreds and sometimes even thousands of times which means there is absolutely no danger of addiction or toxicity. This process allows the remedies to be gentle, safe and yet powerful, making it safe for use during pregnancy and infancy. Homeopathic remedies stimulate the body's natural healing mechanism with no unpleasant side-effects. These remedies can be used alongside allopathic medicines if needed. |
